We have declared National Walk My Dog Day and this year we are celebrating it on the 29th of October 2023. This day combines two of the most happy-making things we have in this life: dogs and exercise. Humans love walking with their four-legged friends, and pooches love their strolls with their people. So grab your walking shoes, a leash, some friends, and come join us at James & Ethel Grey Park to take your pooch for a stroll to celebrate National Walk My Dog Day!
Choose to stroll the 3,5km route or tackle the 5km route, either way, you are bound to have fun. Talking about fun, there will be Entertainment, Music, food stalls and a dedicated dog play area!

Kyle September
From listening to music before he was born to singing since he can remember, Kyle September has literally spent all his life learning about what he loves most. Learning to play guitar, bass guitar, drums and a bit of piano wasn’t enough, so he studied a BMus Honours degree at Wits School of Arts majoring in Composition with a jazz vocal minor, graduating in 2016.
Kyle September’s music boasts a unique blend of an energetic, easy listening pop style with catchy melodies, and a subtle jazz influence with clinical vocal prowess.
Kyle September currently has singles “Sweetness”, “Analog Heart”, “Little Things” and “Cuddle Up” playlisted on over 40 radio stations.

Mash'd Potatoes
Mash’d Potatoes is duo that specialises in mash ups and medleys.
The concept was born in Rumours Lounge’s Candlelight Sessions acoustic evenings in 2016, where established acoustic artists Lindo M and Kyle September would often perform together in addition to running the evening. Without stopping, Lindo and Kyle would perform improvised medleys, taking into account the requests gleefully shouted from the audience. It was when this became a popular and anticipated feature of the evenings that Lindo and Kyle formed thoughts of making an official project out of it.
In 2017, Lindo and Kyle started thinking seriously about Mash’d Potatoes. Being 2 artists with their hearts set on their originality, they decided that Mash’d Potatoes was the perfect opportunity for them to attack the corporate market in an original way. Thus, their decision to join forces was set in stone.
With originality at the heart of a cover project, Mash’d Potatoes aims to resolve this oxymoron with the uniqueness of their arrangements, with incredibly specific attention to lyrical and musical detail.
Mash’d Potatoes balances familiarity with surprise, nostalgia with trendiness, all while you dance and sing along!

Parking details
Entry & exit to James & Ethel Gray Park will be controlled on Sunday the 29th October. All early birds will get to park in the park grounds, however there is a limited number of parking bays.
If the on site parking fills up, the will be parking available at the following areas:
Along Edgewood Avenue and on North Avenue by the Planet Fitness
There will be pointsmen on duty to assist with traffic flow and parking.
Overflow parking at Melrose Arch.
Access to the park: Please use the gate on North and Westwood Avenue. Your ticket will be checked at the gate or you can purchase your ticket on arrival.
Exit from the park: The gate on Edgewood Avenue will be used as exit
